Your privacy rights

The Live Stay Boston gives you the following rights in respect of personal data we hold about you. We are committed to protecting your privacy and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience. This updated Statement of Privacy applies to the Live Stay Boston website and governs data collection and usage. By using the Live Stay Boston website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.You have the right to:


  • Request access to your personal information (commonly known as a “data subject access request”). This enables you to receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it.
  • If you have paid in full prior to cancellation, you are eligible to be refunded for any nights that we are able to re-rent, less the processing and cancellation fees detailed below.
  • Ask us to correct any information that we hold about you which is incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate.
  • Ask us to erase your personal information from our files and systems where there is no good reason for us continuing to hold it.
  • Object to us using your personal information to further our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) or where we are using your personal information for direct marketing purposes.
  • Ask us to restrict or suspend the use of your personal information, for example, if you want us to establish its accuracy or our reasons for using it.
  • Ask us to transfer your personal information to another person or organization.

If you have given your consent to us processing your personal information (for example, consent to receive information about our seminars and events), you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To withdraw your consent, please contact thelyonorg@icloud.com. Once we have received notification that you have withdrawn your consent, we will no longer process your personal information and, subject to our retention policy, we will dispose of your data securely (although we may in some circumstances need to continue to process your data, if so then we will confirm the reasons for this).

Policies

For bookings made more than 7 days before guests arrive, we offer a 24-hour period from the time of booking during which you can cancel and receive a full refund. After the 24-hour period, we refund 50% of the booking value, up to 14 days before guests arrive. If you cancel within 14 days of arrival, the booking is non-refundable. Bookings made within 7 days of arrival are non-refundable
If you have made a booking through one of our partner sites, including but not limited to Airbnb, VRBO, HomeAway, Expedia, Hotels.com, Orbitz, Priceline, Travelocity and Booking.com, all cancellations are subject to the policies listed on the site at which you booked.
Late departures shall be subject to a minimum fine of $100 and a maximum fine equal to the cost of one night. Please see your booking policy for more detail.
Most of our units are designed to be interchangeable and almost every unit has at least one “like-kind” unit within the same building that is similar in size, amenities and sleeping capacity. In most cases the unit you have reserved is the unit you will be staying in, however, we reserve the right to accommodate you in a like-kind unit for the term of your reservation. If you are given a like-kind unit it is guaranteed to be in the same building and no more than one floor above the unit you have reserved (this does not apply in buildings with elevators). If your unit is going to be changed to a like-kind unit you will be notified at least 24 hours in advance.
For any personal items that have been left behind upon departure, guests are required to reimburse STRB for the cost of postage, in addition to a $10 flat fee used to cover retrieval costs.
